5 New Green Beauty Products to Look For

Here are five new green products to look out for over the next few weeks and months. Even better that they are all affordable and a great addition to your buddy beauty collections.

Nourish

Nourish is a line of USDA certified organic body care products. They may actually even have the first certified organic deodorant. My research so far has not found another USDA cert deodorant and I look forward to trying it as that is one of the biggest challenges; finding a natural deodorant that works. I have been able to try their body wash, lotion, and body butter. They come in five delightful scents: Almond Vanilla, Fresh Fig, Lavender Mint, Pure Unscented, and Wild Berries. While having a fragrance can be overwhelming at times, these actually are on the light side which I appreciate. The body wash has a creamy texture and is more like a combination of a soap and moisturizer. It does not get super sudsy but gets the job done if you use body brush. It didn’t work for me as a stand alone wash without using my brush. I really enjoyed the lotion and body butter; they are thick without being heavy. The butter would be PERFECT during the winter. It kept me feeling hydrated for most of the day. The price point is stellar with nothing in the line that costs more than $10.00.

Might Shiny Lip Gel by Young Blood

The Might Shiny Lip Gel from Young Blood Cosmetics is a mineral makeup line that many professional green makeup artists go to. While there are some high contents of ingredients that some may question, understand the needs of professionals are different than that of day to day use. This lip gel is moisturizing and doesn’t feel overly sticky like some conventional lip glosses I’ve had. I love the sheerness with a hint of color. This is already a good edition to my summer makeup regiment; going for full face but natural and light coverage with a light, summery lip. Next, I’ll try their tinted moisturizer to see if that will support my objective.

Zoya Beach Collection

Zoya never fails to disappoint with this vibrant array of summer color polishes. This particular palette is the Beach Collection. All the colors are opaque with a cream finish. The palette includes:
Reagan (cool, dark pink) , Lara (cool, bright pink), Shelby (cool, light pink), Arizona (cool, Orange/Coral), Tracie (cool, light green), and Wednesday (cool, blue green).

I am wearing Arizona.

Ginger+Liz

If you haven’t heard of Ginger + Liz, catch up like I had to. Ginger + Liz Colour Collection is a vegan-friendly nail line free of toluene, formaldehyde, and DBP
They have some very cute colors with fun names as you can see in the picture above. Ignore the ratchetness as I did not wait for it to dry long enough and my nails suffered.

In this picture, I’m wearing “Most Wanted” which is now back in stock. I got an opportunity to have my nails done by Liz herself at Natural’s Night Out, which I’ll post about this week.

Niko

Niko has a line of organic, dry powder cleansers made with the Kakadu Plum ‘Super Fruit’. What makes this product viable is since it is in powder form, you can travel with it! Usually all liquids are a no no when traveling but sorry Mr./Mrs. TSA person, this is a powder so no you cannot throw it out. Yay.
More about the Kakadu Plum from Niko himself – “Considered a ‘Super Fruit’, it has the highest level of folates (B vitamin), iron and bioactives (molecules that affect the body). Rich in phytonutrients (nutrients derived from plants that are essentials in the body) such as gallic and ellagic acids. Galic acid has antibacterial, anti-viral and antifungal activities. Ellagic acid is believed to be anti-carcinogenic.”

What are some of the new green beauties I am missing out on?

Disclosure: Complimentary products from Nourish, Zoya, and Young Blood Cosmetics for review purposes. I received no other compensation and no requirements that I express a particular point of view.
