Green Cars at NY Auto Show

The New York Auto Show of 2012 commenced today and runs until April 15th at the Jacob Javits Center. The 112-year-old automobile event highlights the best, brightest, and newest in car technology innovation. From debuting new models to conceptual cars, the EV Pavilion focused on green cars.

More people are turning to plug-in hybrid-eletric vehicles as a way of lowering their carbon footprint and the government incentive for investing in a car. PHEVs purchased in or after 2010 may be eligible for a federal income tax credit of up to $7,500. The credit amount will vary based on the capacity of the battery used to fuel the vehicle. Information about your car’s eligibility can be found on the US Department of Energy website.
