Thanks to my buddies, my pals, my aces over at Duane Reade, the mister and I had an opportunity to attend the Mets game and a post game Duane Reade sponsored concert by Nas. I’d never been to the new Citifield let alone a baseball game so it was certainly a mini adventure for me.
And what’s more green then being on baseball greens!?
Armed with two tickets, sweltering heat and humidity, and a pair of flat sandals, we were off. Unfortunately, the Mets didn’t cap the evening off with the win but they played hard and that is all you can ask for.
Now Nas. Nasir. That man does not age at all. With several ounces of swag, a Mets Jersey, he took the stage wearing sunglasses because he wears his sunglasses at night so he can see the light. He performed some of his classic hits, was charismatic and engaging with the crowd, and showed everyone a great time like a center stage host should. Check out some video clips and images below!
