Boating, Sailing, Yachting, Paddle-boarding, and more were all found last week as I embarked an exclusive, inside look at the Progressive Norwalk Boat Show in Norwalk, Connecticut. The 38th annual boat show is the biggest boat show in the northeast and took place from September 19–22, 2013. While I opted out of PaddlePalooza—Stand-Up Paddling, I did opt in for power boating, checking out the latest in luxury yachts and sailing.
From sighting oyster boats to the harbors wildlife, speeding along the waterways was a fun and exhilarating experience.
Then I was able to tour this amazing yacht, the Benetti 93 Delfino aka Azul. With a deck outfitted in teak wood, the finishes and interior define the standard of luxurious yacht living.
The jacuzzi aboard Azul has an accompanying disco ball.

Post the tour, I went on my first sailing excursion. This was a very peaceful and serene experience and I learned the very basics of sailing from how to navigate and move with the wind. After watching movies like Pi, I now comprehend how nature if truly the course setter of life.
Now for my fav. This Greenline hybrid combines the best of lux and sustainability using a combination of diesel, electric, and solar power to power this boat. Having won 20 international design, innovation, and environmental awards, the Greenline delivers 350 boats globally to eco enthusiasts. The array of boats from small powerboats to large yachts definitely peaked my interest in having boating becoming a staple activity in my life.
The Progressive Norwalk Boat Show is certainly more than just looking at boats. There is something for everyone in the family from boating lessons to Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga. Definitely check out this annual show next year. You can check out highlights from the show on Facebook and Twitter. Also check out #NorwalkBoatShow and Yoli on Instagram for more of the days fun.
