This conversation with Tatyana Ali is truly one of my favorite conversations during Essence Festival 2013.
I had an opportunity to attend the P&GMy Black in Beautiful dinner. Overall, dinner was filled with momentary tears, good food, and a great film. I literally felt full by the end of the evening with positivity, love, and encouragement. Attendees from the film included directors Lisa Cortes and Shola Lynch, Beverly Bond of Black Girls Rock Inc, Janet Goldsboro, and actress Tatyana Ali.
