Last week, I had an opportunity to watch a frenzy of people come to Duane Reade in Union Square to sample and decide which Celebrity Apprentice Ice Cream was the best. Trace Adkins and Penn Jillette participated in a Celebrity Apprentice challenge to create unique flavors of premium ice cream that are only available at Walgreens and Duane Reade stores. I did not sample the ice cream as I don’t do dairy (lactose free life!) BUT I was incredibly tempted. Trace Adkins and Penn Jillette came up with some interesting flavors that would make anyone drool. Adkins’ created “Maple Macadamia Mash-Up” and Jillette created “Vanilla & Chocolate Magic Swirtle.” Watch my video below as I chat with them both to find out the how, what, and whys.
