Your carry on bag is your portal to being fresh and being able to face the world after getting off a long flight. I am professionally not a fan of flying but might as well make it comfortable as feasible. Here are 5 items I must have in my carry on.
These organic wipes are a life saver in every situation and surprisingly affordable. Duane Reade’s unscented, 100% organic cotton, biodegradable organic hand & face wipes are great for on-the-go. They are great to clean your face and hands after sitting on the plane and absorbing everyone else’s toxins. On average, the 15-count package of wipes cost $1.99 (a great price) and if your lucky enough to catch them on sale, they’ve been as a low as $1.49.
When beverage and snack services comes around, I don’t know about you but I’m usually not impressed with the lack of tea options. So I get to bring my own! Hibiscus is one fruity flower that goes by different names in various cultures. In West Africa, it is called bissap. In the Caribbean, it is known as Sorrel. Call it by any other name, and it is still delicious. It is sweet, tangy, and packs a big antioxidants punch. This particular blend from Traditional Medicinal includes hibiscus flower, blackberry leaf and lemongrass leaf. Some studies have shown that hibiscus is used to support normal blood pressure maintenance. That is a big bonus especially when traveling as it can be stressful. So throw a few bags in your carry on.
It is a very rare occurrence that I find alternative sweetners when traveling. Most are now available in individual packs that you can take with you. I prefer stevia and use Stevia in the Raw or Wholesome Sweeteners organic stevia. They are convenient to travel with anywhere from day to day or going away on vacation.
Every person should take a quick whiff of the underarm area occasionally just to make sure you’re not being inadvertently offensive. Crystal Essence Towelettes have saved me many of days, especially after running throughtout the city. They are all over body wipes so they can be used anywhere you need a quick refresh. I have used it on my feet before with appreciated results. They come in a variety of scents including Lavender & White Tea, Pomegranate, and Chamomile & Green Tea. And what is ever more convenient is that some retails sell them individually. Thank Goodness!
After using this Lip Moisturizer by Me and the Girls, I promise you lips will feel smoother than a babies bottom. The vegan lip treatment boasts quality ingredients such as wildcrafted Candelilla wx, organic sunflower oil, organic cocoa butter and coconut oil, organic cupuacu seeds, non gmo vitamin e oil, organic essetial spearmint oil and rosemary extract, and calendula extract. Honestly, I want to melt it down and put it in my hair as a conditioner. But alas, I’ll accept it on my lips for a smack of luxury. I have been using it religiously since I picked it up at an event a few weeks ago and it stays in my purse for those bare it all days.
If you didn’t know, now you know. Keep Calm and Travel on.
