Give Your Tootsies Winter TLC

During the spring and summer, our feet are usually in tip-top shape. After all, it is sandal weather, and we want to put our best feet forward. But once the weather turns cold and the snugly socks go on, it can be easy to forget to show our tootsies some TLC.

Instead of giving in to the blahs of winter, why not take some time to show yourself a little love? Keep your feet soft and beautiful with an at-home spa treatment. All it takes is four items to get you on your way to feeling great.

1 – An exfoliator to scrub all that dead skin away. Make sure you look for a quality exfoliator, such as the Silk’n Pedi – $39.37. To use, you simply roll it against your dry feet. One warning, though: be ready for a mess, because it really does its job.

2 – Once all that dead skin is gone, it is time to soak those feet. We recommend the Mineral Wellness Soak – $40 from Kerstin Florian. This soak is loaded with over 60 minerals that serve to relax and detox the body. To use, you just dissolve the crystals in warm water, put your feet in, and unwind.

3 – Next, you will need a gentle scrub to help get your skin nice and soft. The Olive and Green Tea Body Scrub – $9.99 from Shea Moisture is one of our favorites. The olive oil moisturizes while the green tea helps fight free radicals.

4 – To keep your skin soft, you need a quality moisturizer, such as Organic Raw Shea Butter – $14.99 by Nourish. Shea butter is an amazing moisturizer and using it in its purest form lets you reap the full benefits.

Now, these four items are all you need to keep your feet soft and beautiful. However, if you really want to up the spa factor, you should consider just one more item.

5. Homedics Air Compression and Shiatsu Foot Massager with Heat – $79.99. This massager takes you as close to the spa as you can get without ever leaving home. It’s light weight and easy to store under your bed. We envision coming home every night and geting a gentle foot massage before slipping under the covers. That’s how you end a day.
