He complained again that he needed new deodorant. Somehow I had become my mister’s steward of natural personal care products. Being the “Queen of Green,” I was determined to find a natural brand he would like and stick to. The pun was unintended, but it works! Especially since some others hadn’t succeed at delaying the inevitable stinky sweat that accompanied working out. While others had caused skin irritation which probably was due to harsh chemicals. Off to Whole Foods I went, determined to find a brand that has never personally failed me, Tom’s of Maine.

Whole Foods Store Exterior - Union SquareBesides having some great #FreshNaturally products, Tom’s of Maine’s company practice is to avoid things that are toxic and irritants such as artificial colors, flavors and fragrances, and preservatives like parabens, edta, and formaldehyde. They also avoid using animal ingredients, gluten, phthalates and artificial sweeteners.

Venturing to the Whole Foods in Union Square usually is an adventure within itself since it is one of the busiest in the city. I know the store like the back of my hand and knew exactly where to find the deodorants in their Whole Body section.

Having presented to mister, he has been using it regularly without any skin irritation and enjoys the scent I choose for him: Mountain Spring. And we have been living happily ever after without me making weird, something smells faces. Now I have to restock my deodorant this week as he doesn’t get to have all the Tom’s of Maine fun.

Are you a Tom’s of Maine fan!? Tell me which products you use.
